While they both end up in front of audiences the same, live-action and animated movies go through drastically different development processes. We asked Ralph Breaks The Internet co-writer Pamela Ribon to shed light on some of those differences. The way Ribon explains it, a live-action movie screenwriter’s job is mostly done when production starts, while the screenwriter for an animated movie is continuously working throughout the production process, collaborating with storyboard artists and animators to craft new scenes and story elements to further build out the finished product.
