Hey girl, did you hear Ryan Gosling has a new movie coming out? Oh, Russell Crowe’s in it too (and he promises not to sing this time), but he doesn’t look nearly as dashing as Gosling does in ’70s duds. His character, P.I. Holland March, is working two concurrent cases: Tracking down a missing girl and investigating the death of a porn star, because Gosling cares about women.

Hey dude, did you hear who wrote and directed Ryan Gosling’s new movie? None other than Shane Black, master of the buddy-cop dynamic and quick-witted assholery. This time around, he’s bringing his unique sensibilities to sunny Los Angeles for a neo-noir that promises to have as much violence as it does snark.

The Nice Guys just might have something for everyone. It opens nationwide on May 20, but The A.V. Club and Warner Bros. have an opportunity for you to see it for free a few days early on Monday, May 16. For your chance to win a pair of passes to the advance screening, simply follow the link here and enter your information. Remember: Advance screenings are often intentionally overbooked, so be sure to arrive early if you want to guarantee yourself a seat. An official plot synopsis and trailer for the film can be found below.

Set in 1970s Los Angeles, down-on-his-luck private eye Holland March (Ryan Gosling) and hired enforcer Jackson Healy (Russell Crowe) must work together to solve the case of a missing girl and the seemingly unrelated death of a porn star. During their investigation, they uncover a shocking conspiracy that reaches up to the highest circles of power.
