Halo 5: Guardians

In an effort to both serve our readers and help support The A.V. Club, we are going to post daily links to deals and interesting items that we find over on Amazon. If you use these links to click through and buy something—not just the thing you clicked—on Amazon, we will see a portion of that income. You don’t have to do that if you don’t want to, but if you do, know that we appreciate it.

Star Wars Funko Pop puzzle ($8.00)

These Funko Pop figures are strangely popular with our readers, so why not make a weekend out of fitting them together?

You Can’t Touch My Hair by Phoebe Robinson ($10.67 paperback)

We interviewed Phoebe Robinson earlier this week. She says:

Even though some of the essays pertain to black issues or issues that women go through, I still think it’s universal in the way that everyone can relate to being discriminated against or feeling like their voices aren’t being heard or that they’re not being seen. With everything that’s going on in the country right now—I hate to use the words “perfect timing” because people are being killed—but I think it’s time to talk about police brutality or someone like Donald Trump who’s Islamophobic and racist and sexist. I think books like mine and other books that are coming out that are taking these issues head-on, we’re saying, “Hey, you know these groups that are being marginalized over here? We’re standing up for those groups.”

Halo 5: Guardians ($30.00)

Drew Toal frames the setup as: “What happens when humanity’s greatest hero turns into its most implacable villain? Or has the hero himself been betrayed by those he has sworn to protect?” The game is regularly $100, so this is a great price.
