After debuting at Cannes way back in May, Carol is finally making its debut in U.S. theaters today and is currently getting praised all over the place. From its heartrending performances (Cate Blanchett and Rooney Mara, both at the top of their game) to its elegant, unfussy direction from Todd Haynes, there seems to be a lot to love about this movie. Another aspect of the film that’s been getting a lot of attention is its achingly beautiful score from Carter Burwell, the incredibly prolific composer also behind the music of True Grit, Being John Malkovich, and many more. The soundtrack, which also features a few excellent, period-appropriate songs from the likes of Billie Holiday and Jo Stafford, is available today via CD and iTunes digital download.

In conjunction with the film and soundtrack’s release, The A.V. Club is giving away five copies of the Carol Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, each accompanied with a copy of the official movie poster. For your chance to win, simply send an email to avcontests@theonion.com with the subject line “Carter Burwell.” Be sure to include your name and address in the body of the email. U.S. entrants only. On Tuesday, November 24, we’ll select five random winners from our eligible entries, who will be notified via email shortly thereafter.
